Free trip to Dartmoor Zoo for teachers and their families!

We're holding an open day for all teachers, their families and partners on Sunday the 22nd January 2012 between 10am and 4pm.

It's a great opportunity for a free day out, and a chance to see some of the amazing education services on offer at Dartmoor Zoo. Anyone working in education or supervising kids groups can register for this informative and family-focused event. But please be advised, registration in advance is essential.

The day will include VIP tours, close encounter sessions, kids activities and a visit to our fantastic dissection theatre. 

Education officer, Amy Collie, is looking forward to demonstrating all of the amazing facilities we have to offer. “We've been working hard for over a year now producing an all new, fully comprehensive range of lesson plans spanning all subjects and key stages," says Amy. "There isn't a more complete educational day out in the country.”

One of the exciting new activities includes our incredibly popular 'Enterprise Challenge' which recently received a High Impact Award from Youth Business International. It entails groups of around six students competing with others as 'Zoo Development Team' for a day-long challenge.
