Age 5 – 7 1 member of staff to 6 pupils

Age 8+ 1 member of staff to 10 pupils

*Please note. Pupils must be supervised under these ratios at ALL times whilst at the zoo. Staff entry is free at these ratios, additional staff are charged at £7.95 per person.

£7.50     Zoo entry plus one 90 minute teaching session

£12.25   Zoo entry plus full day structured and tailored learning experience led by zoo staff.

                Includes juice & snack on arrival and certificate for each pupil at the end of the day.

£0.40p Per pupil – juice, biscuits and fruit provided at pre-arranged break time

£1.95 Zoo visit preparation pack for teachers

£1.10 per pupil – Art & design session (material costs)

£14.00 per group - Fully guided tour of the zoo – 1hour duration, max 20 pupils per group

£1.00 per pupil – second 90 minute teaching session

• All teaching sessions include materials and worksheets

• Group size minimum of 10

• Picnic area inside/outside available on request

• Risk assessments available

• Teaching sessions can be structured to specific needs, just telephone or email with your requests or required learning objectives.

• Large year groups can be catered for

• School staff must accompany pupils at all times during the visit.

All sessions incorporate ICT, problem solving, health and safety, communicative skills, moral questioning, number and team work where possible.
