DZP Cycle Challenge

WE'RE RIDING TO SIBERIA!

The Dartmoor Zoo staff will be cycling 2600 miles this week from Sunday 21st August at 1pm to Sunday 28th August to raise money for the World Land Trust.

The distance is the equivalent of riding from Sparkwell to Siberia, which is where our Amur Tigers live in the wild.

We need your support to raise as much money as possible for this worthwhile charity who's aim it is to protect natural habitats for our world's wildlife.

Olympic divers Brooke Graddon and Tonia Couch will be at Dartmoor Zoo on Sunday the 21st at 1pm to launch the event, so come on down if you want to meet them!

If you come to the zoo at any point over the week, you can buy a £5 ticket and have a go at riding yourself! Whoever covers the highest distance on that day will be entered into a prize draw with a 1 in 7 chance to win a Meet The Tigers experience worth £249!

Team Building at Dartmoor Zoo!

If you've been tasked with finding a fun and interesting team building day for your company or organisation, then look no further!

We have put together a programme that is both challenging and fun. Our Enterprise Challenge pits teams of up to 6 against each other in a tough, real-world challenge...building our next enclosure! Your teams will have to balance all of the real life struggles that we face in order to help conserve a new endangered species. We will give you all of the information and resources, and then it's down to you! At the end of the challenge, each team will present their design and strategy to a panel of real-life zoo managers, Dragon's Den style, with the winning team getting an amazing prize of a Meet The Tigers experience!

We have a range of options to keep everyone occupied all day...
A typical day might look like this:

10:00am - Welcome Briefing - Teas, coffees, soft drinks and biscuits.
10:30am - Enterprise Challenge - In teams of 6, design and build our next enclosure!
12:30pm - Private BBQ and Ice Creams - a range of locally sourced, delicious food and drinks.
1:30pm - Enterprise Challenge Results! - find out which team won the challenge, and get some feedback too.
2:30pm - Tiger or Lion Feed - see our biggest and most dangerous residents get their lunch!
2:45pm - Falconry Display - be amazed by our fantastic bird of prey show!
3:30pm - Close Encounters - get up close and personal with our creepy crawlies and reptiles!
3:30pm - Coffee Break - for the more squeamish of you, have a coffee and a snack on us instead!
4:30pm - Meerkat Feed - always popular, see our favourite insurance brokers get their afternoon feed!
5:00pm - Finish
