Dartmoor Zoo kids birthday parties are amazing, fun and educational. Every party gives your kids the VIP treatment and interaction with real live animals.

 Close Encounters is a chance to get up-close and hands-on with the animals in our Education Centre. These include the likes of giant spiny stick insects, hissing cockroaches, a variety of snakes, tortoises, bearded dragons and gerbils.

The Big Cat Tour includes African lions, Amur tigers, jaguar, lynx and cheetah. It's a great opportunity to see and learn about these fantastic amimals and where possible, it will coincide with at least one feeding time, circumstances allowing.

Lunch

• Your preference of Goat or Meerkat Feed

Please Note:

• All bookings are for a minimum of 6 children
• Bookings should made be at least a week in advance
• A minimum of three days notice is required for any changes to the numbers attending
• Payment in full is required at least one week before the party
• Please don't bring balloons as the animals don't like the pop!

*Terms & Conditions:

Feeds are subject availability on a first come, first served basis and to animal welfare considerations. Only the birthday boy or girl will be able to feed the animals. Refunds are not granted in the very unlikely event that a feed may not be possible due to animal welfare issues. An entry ticket will be issued as compensation in this case. For adequate supervision, we recommend a minimum ratio of one adult to six children. Please Note: Our Education Team have a very busy schedule of public talks and other commitments throughout the day and must keep to a strict timetable. For this reason, Close Encounters sessions and Tours must begin at the time agreed when you book. Spaces on these sessions are limited to the above numbers to ensure that all participants gain maximum benefit from the experience.
